Foni and Gunjur were both anxious to thump each other to lift the annual West Coast Region zonal football tournament trophy.
Foni made a superb start to the match and dominated Gunjur in the midfield, crafting goal scoring opportunities but failed to capitalise on them.
Gunjur, who were unable to contain Foni in the midfield, also created some goal scoring opportunities but failed to materialise on them thus the first half ended goalless.
Upon resumption of the match, Foni and Gunjur both injected in several fresh legs to bolster their attacking departments to increase their chances of winning the match but the match ended goalless.
