Samger on Tuesday sealed their first win in the 2020-2021 Gambia Football Federation (GFF) Division Two League season following their hard-fought 1-0 win over Gunjur United in a well-contested match played at the National Technical Training Football Field in Yundum.

The Academy boys lost to Bombada 3-0 in their opening league outing prior to their game with Gunjur United, who drew 2-2 with Immigration in their opening league fixture.

Samger required a victory to bounce back in the second tier to bolster their chances of regaining promotion to the first division league next season.

They scored one goal without Gunjur United responding to bounce back in the country’s second tier after losing to Bombada 3-0 in their opening league match.

Meanwhile, Samger now secured 3 points after two league outings.

In a similar development, Hawks, Gamtel, Marimoo and Tallinding United are all keen to recover in the ongoing Gambia Football Federation (GFF) Division One League season.

The quartets slipped to Real De Banjul, Gambia Armed Forces, BK Milan and Elite United in their opening league outings over the weekend.

Hawks lost to Elite United 2-1, Gamtel slipped to BK Milan 3-1, Marimoo lost to Gambia Armed Forces 2-0 while Tallinding slipped to Real De Banjul.
