RS Tallinding United and Gambian Dutch Lions on Wednesday clasped vital victories in the 2023-2024 Gambia Football Federation (GFF) Division Two League.

The duo defeated BK Milan and Jam City in their week-two fixtures.

RS Tallinding United came from one nil down to beat BK Milan 2-1 at the Serrekunda East Mini Stadium to secure the significant three points in the country’s Second Tier.

Jerreh Marong gave BK Milan the lead in the 23rd minute of the match.

RS Tallinding United responded back for an equaliser but were unable to penetrate BK Milan’s solid defence line thus the first half ended 1-0 in favour of BK Milan.

Upon resumption of the match, RS Tallinding United organised themselves and attacked BK Milan, controlling the match.

Ansumana Kujabi levelled matters for RS Tallinding United in the 69th minute of the match from the penalty spot before Mamat Jonga scored the winner in the 86th minute to earn the Tallinding based-club the maximum points.

BK Milan fought back for an equaliser but were unable to unlock RS Tallinding United’s formidable defence line thus the match ended 2-1 in favour of RS Tallinding United.

Gambian Dutch Lions defeated Jam City 1-0 at the Late Ousman Saho Football Field in Old Yundum to the grasp vital three points in the Second Division League.

Alfusainey Ceesay’s last-grasp strike was all but enough to earn Gambian Dutch Lions the maximum points.
