Ron Mango are Bakau super Cup champions

Ron Mango FC have been crowned champions of the 2025 Bakau Sports Committee (BSC) Super Cup following their 4-1 post-match win over Luneburg after regulation time ended goalless in an exciting final played at the Bakau Mini Stadium on Sunday.

The kicked off was taken by Minister of Youth and Sports Bakary Y. Badjie.

The final was graced by high profound dignitaries.

As champions, Ron Mango went home with a giant trophy, gold medals and a cash prize of D30,000 while Luneburg received silver medals and D20,000 as runners-up.

Speaking to journalist after the match, head Coach of Ron Mango,  Abdoulie Dibba, expressed delight for winning the Bakau Super Cup trophy, adding that they played Super Cup final seven times.

“We were not expecting penalty shootouts. We created numerous goal scoring opportunities but failed to score,'' Dibba said.

Coach Dibba stated that they were now going back to the drawing board to work hard for the 2025\2026 Bakau 'nawettan' season.

He thanked the players and staff for their support.

Head coach of Luneburg FC, Omar Joof, stated that they slipped to a better side during the Bakau Super Cup final.

''We created six to seven goal chances, our opponent created only three chances,'' Joof said.
