The Serrekunda-based team, Rangers FC defeated United Stars 2-1 during the first semifinals game of the League Cup tournament.
Ensa Conteh gave Rangers FC the lead in the 43rd minute before Modou Lamin Sillah equalized for United Stars in the 63rd minute. Sarjo Jallow sealed the victory for Rangers FC back in the 79th minute.
The last year’s knockout tournament winners, Rangers FC have now booked its place into the semifinals of the League Cup tournament.
Future Bii eliminated Ebbeh Gii 6-5 on post-match penalty shootouts following a goalless draw in the regulation time.
Meanwhile, the line up for the Serrekunda East League Cup tournament semifinals have now been completed.
Leeds United will take on Future Bii in the first semifinals, while Rangers FC will battle it out against T Town in the other semifinals.
