The course was organised by United Soccer Coaches Association USA in collaboration with Medina United Academy, The Gambia Football Federation and Gambia Coaches Association.
The opening ceremony was graced by the president of The Gambia Football Federation (GFF), Lamin Kabba Bajo, and Ebou Secka representing the Ministry of Youth and Sports.
The course was aimed at providing coaches with knowledge and skills in modern coaching methodologies.
The course was also aimed at focusing on player development, training techniques and match analysis.
The curriculum was delivered by Isang Jacob from United Soccer Coaches Association USA, who shared his knowledge and best practices with Gambian coaches.
The participants were engaged in interactive sessions, practical demonstrations, and discussions on various aspects of football coaching.
They covered topics such as tactical awareness, player psychology, and injury prevention, gaining valuable insights that will enhance their ability to guide their teams to success.
President of The Gambia Football Federation (GFF), Lamin Kabba Bajo, expressed his appreciation for the initiative and emphasized the importance of continuous professional development for coaches.

Ebou Secka, a representative of the minister of Youth and Sports, commended the organisers for organising the training.
Secka urged the coaches to make best use of knowledge gained from the training.
‘‘The government is fully committed to supporting the development of football in the country,’’ Secka said.
The course participants expressed gratitude to the organisers for the training for enhancing their skills and knowledge.
