The Coastal Boys defeated Wallidan 1-0 in their week-26 encounter played at the Bakau Mini Stadium on Friday to bounce back in the country’s Second Tier.
Gunjur United slipped to Samger 1-0 before clashing with Wallidan, who beat Essau United 2-1.
The Coastal Boys required to beat Wallidan to improve their position on the Second Division League table.
Young midfielder Omar Jabang alias Ozil opened the scores for Gunjur United in the 27th minute of the match from close range, which eventually proved to be the winner for the Coastal Boys.
Wallidan reacted for an equaliser but to no avail thus the match ended 1-0 in favour of Gunjur United.
The win earns Gunjur United 12th place on the Second Division League Table with 31 points.
Wallidan still sit 7th place on the country’s Second Tier table with 37 points in 26 league matches.
