Omar Colley scored the only goal of the match for Sampdoria on his 30th birthday.
The win was the first recorded by Omar Colley and his Sampdoria side this season after eleven games in the Italian Serie A.
Gambian international, Colley, who made 10 Serie A appearances this season has scored one goal for Sampdoria so far.
The victory helped Sampdoria to leapfrog their hosts and move off the bottom spot.
They remain in the relegation zone, two points from safety and two above Cremonese, the only side yet to record a win after 11 rounds.
Omar Colley and Sampdoria will next face Italian powerhouse, Inter Milan away on Saturday 29th October at 6:45pm.
