Nyofelleh utd bounce back in Gunjur nawetan

Nyofelleh United FC on Sunday bounced back in the 2023-2024 Gunjur ‘nawetan’ following their 1-0 victory over Solar Enterprise FC in a crunch clash played at the Gunjur Upper Basic School Football Field.

The Nyofelleh based-club lost to Continental Star FC 1-0 in their second group match before rubbing shoulders with Solar Enterprise FC, who drew goalless with Passamai FC in their second group game.

Both sides came for the vital three points to increase their dreams of reaching the quarter-finals of the annual Gunjur nawetan.

Nyofelleh United FC made a promising start to the match and overpowered Solar Enterprise FC in the midfield, creating numerous goal scoring chances.

Nyofelleh United FC opened the scores through striker Saikou Touray in the 20th minute from an excellent strike, which eventually proved to be the winner for the Nyofelleh based-club.

Solar Enterprise FC fought back quickly for an equaliser and created numerous scoring opportunities but squandered them away thus the match ended 1-0 in favour of Nyofelleh United FC.

Nyofelleh United FC and Solar Enterprise FC both secured 4 points each after three group matches.
