Nawettan looms closer as state of public emergency extended

The 2020 wet season biggest football jamboree; nawettan is edging closer  in The Gambia, as government extended the state of public emergency for another twenty-one days to control the spread of coronavirus in The Gambia.

The annual football championship normal begins in The Gambia in July every year but due to the covid-19 epidemic in the country the tournament is expected to commence very late this year.

Nawettan football attracts more spectators, ambiance and more revenue than the country’s divisional league matches. Divisional league clubs coaches use nawettan to scout good players for their respective clubs.
