Modou Barrow seals opening day win for Jeonbuk

Scorpions’ winger Modou Barrow guided his Korean side Jeonbuk to a perfect start of their K League title defence after scoring a wonderful goal during Jeonbuk 2-0 home win over FC Seoul during their opening match of the league season played at the Jeonju World Cup Stadium on Saturday.

The 28-year-old winger scored his first goal of the season for Jeonbuk in the 93 minutes of the second half, after Kim Won-Gun opener in the 76 minutes.

The Gambian international was introduced in the second period of the game and got himself on the scoresheet to help his side record a perfect start in their K- League title defense.

Barrow moved to South Korean champions Jeonbuk Hyundai Motors after leaving Turkish side Denizlispor in July 2020 for an undisclosed fee.

He scored two goals in fifteen appearances for Jeonbuk Hyundai Motors last season.

The result has moved Barrow and Jeonbuk Hyundai Motors joined top at the table with three others each on 3 points, while FC Seoul FC sits eleventh position with zero point.
