The tournament, which started with eight (8) teams was divided into two (2) groups of four (4) teams each. It has now reached its semifinals stage.
The fixtures for the semifinal will see Star TV/Radio take on Foroyaa Newspaper on Saturday at 9:30am during the first semifinal, while defending champions The Point Newspaper will battle it out withat the Journalism Students on Sunday 9:30am in the other semifinal match.
Meanwhile, Star TV/Radio booked their place into the semifinal after securing 7 points, leading their group A through superior goal difference (4), while Foroyaa Newspaper sailed to the last four after finishing second position in group B with 7 points.
The Point Newspaper, on the other hand booked their place into the last four of the competition after topping their group B with seven (7) points, while the Journalism Students amade it to the semifinal after finishing second in group A with 7 points.
The eight (8) teams that participated in the ongoing Media Football for Ethnics tournament are The Standard Newspaper, Star TV/Radio, Online Media FC, Journalism Students FC, The Point Newspaper, Paradise TV/Radio, Foroyaa Newspaper and Freelancers FC.
