Marimoo daze Steve Biko on spot-kick to clinch KMRFA trophy

Marimoo Parkfoo on Sunday stunned Steve Biko 6-5 on post-match penalty shootouts after regulation time ended goalless in a tightly-contested final played at the Serrekunda East Mini Stadium to clinch the 2023 Kanifing Municipality Regional Football Association (KMRFA) fitness football tournament trophy.

Both sides came into the match with the motive of defeating each other to clinch the trophy but regular time failed to produce a winner.

This pushed the match into post-match penalty shootouts, which ended 6-5 in favour of Marimoo Parkfood.

As champions, Marimoo Parkfood went home with a giant trophy.

The fitness football tournament was organised to maintain Kanifing Municipality (KM) league clubs fit enough ahead of the country’s new league season set to begin this weekend.
