Major zones begin preparations for nawetan

Major ‘nawetan’ zones in The Gambia are currently preparing for the 2022 ‘nawetan’ campaign.

Serrekunda East Sports Development Organisation (SESDO) is set to begin their qualifiers after the balloting of the qualifier matches, which was held recently at the Serrekunda East Mini Stadium.

Brikama Sports Committee (BSC) is also preparing to play their qualifier matches.

Other zones such as Banjul, Bakau, Serrekunda West, Manjai, Serrekunda Central, Brufut, BEM, Farafenni, Gunjur, Sanyang, Sukuta, Kombo Central Two, JAKU, Foni, Kombo East and FABY are also preparing to play their qualifier matches as the summer biggest football jamboree edges closer.

Meanwhile, Major zones use nawetan matches to scout good players for their respective zonal teams for the prestigious super nawetan competition.
