Busumbala made a stunning start to the match and caused many problems for Kombo South defenders, crafting numerous goal scoring opportunities thus the first half ended goalless.
Upon resumption of the match, Busumbala maintained their supremacy over Kombo South and crafted many goal scoring opportunities.
Captain Babou Ceesay opened the scoring for Busumbala in the 46th minute of the match from the penalty spot, which eventually proved to be the winner for the Busumbala boys.
Kombo South reacted quickly for an equaliser and created some goal scoring chances but were unable to penetrate Busumbala’s formidable defence line thus the match ended 1-0 in favour of Kombo South.
Busumbala now joined Sannehmentereng, Old Yundum, Foni Bintang, Foni Bondali and Kombo East in the next round of the on-going president Adama Barrow Peace Football Tournament.
The defeat saw Kombo South out of President Adama Barrow Peace Football Tournament.
The South boys will hang their boots until next year after their exit from the tournament.
