They defeated Red Scorpions 4-3 on post-match penalty shootouts after regulation time ended 1-1 in a tightly-contested final played at the Bakau Mini Stadium recently.
Both sides played sloppy football during the first half and created goal-scoring opportunities.
Ramatoulie Jagne gave Koita the lead in the 14th minute of the match.
Red Scorpions reacted for an equaliser but were unable to unlock Koita FC's solid defence line thus the first half ended 1-0 in favour of Koita FC.
Upon resumption of the match, Red Scorpions levelled the scores in the 63rd minute of the match through an own goal following Kaddy Jatta’s thunderous free-kick thus ended the match ended 1-1.
This pushed the game into post-match penalty shootouts, which ended 5-4 in favour of Koita FC.
As champions, Koita FC went home with a giant trophy, gold medals and a cheque for D300,000 while Red Scorpions received silver medal and a cheque for D150,000.
Meanwhile, TMT and Darboe’s FC each received D50,000 for reaching the semifinals of the Women's FF Cup.
Head Coach of Koita FC, Akeju Taiwo, expressed delight for winning the FF Cup, adding that his girls have enjoyed a fantastic season.
"We planned extremely well for this final since we defeated the league champions Berewuleng in the round of 16 matches," Taiwo said.
