Johm's FC win Manjai Super Cup trophy

Johm's FC have won the 2024 Manjai Super trophy following their 7-6 marathon post-match penalty shootouts victory over Kololi Central FC after regulation time ended goalless in a well-attended final played at the Father Gough Sports Complex in Manjai Kunda on Friday.

The final saw exhibition of skills and determination but regular time ended goalless.

This pushed the match into post-match penalty shootouts, which ended 7-6 in favour of Jom’s FC.

As champions, Johm's FC were awarded with gold medals, a giant trophy and a prize of D20, 000, while Kololi central FC received D10, 000 as runners-up.

Media Officer for Manjai Sports Committee, Pa Furmus Correa, stated that this year’s Manjai Super Cup final was the first of its kind, adding that Manjai is known for producing best talents.

 Correa sounds optimistic for peaceful nawettan season in Manjai, adding that all the coaches are well prepared for the season.

The Secretary General of the Manjai Sports Committee (MSC), Aja Kaddy Jaiteh, stated that only problem the committee is facing is the condition of their pitch.
