Immigration surrender 1st position to Gunjur Utd in 2nd Division

Immigration FC on Wednesday surrendered first position to Gunjur United in the 2021-2022 Gambia Football Federation (GFF) Division Two League after slipping to the Coastal Town boys 1-0 in their week-thirteen fixture played at the Real de Banjul Football Field. 

The Immigration were leading the country’s second tier table with 24 points before clashing with Gunjur United, who sat second-place on the Second Division table with 22 points.

 Immigration were keen to pommel Gunjur United to rejuvenate their lead in the second tier but lost to the Coastal Town boys 1-0.

Gunjur United netted one goal in the match to top the 2021-2022 Gambia Football Federation (GFF) Division Two League with 25 points.

The Coastal Town boys will contend to win their remaining matches in the first round of the league campaign to increase their hopes of gaining promotion to the country’s elite league next season.

Immigration dropped to third-place on the country’s second tier table with 24 points after losing to Gunjur United.

The Immigration boys will vie to win their next league fixture to bounce back in the second division league.
