Hart FC have snatched top-spot in the 2023-2024 Gambia Football Federation (GFF) Division Two League campaign following their 2-1 win over Medina United in their week-15 match played at the King George 5 Mini-Stadium in Banjul on Thursday.

The Jarra-Soma based team sat second-place on the country’s Second Tier table with 26 points prior to their match with Medina United, who sat 12th place on the Second Division League table with 16.

Hart FC scored two goals during the match to snatch top-spot on the First Division League table with 29 points.

Medina United netted one goal in the match, which eventually proved to be a consolation for them.

The Medina United boys now sit 13th place on the country’s Second Tier table with 16 points after 15 league matches.

Coach Alieu Jagne and his Medina United charges must win their upcoming league matches to avoid relegation to the Third Division League.
