The Coastal Town boys required a win against Kanifing East to bounce back in the country’s Second Tier after losing to Latrikunda United 1-nil in their previous league match.
Winger wizard Abdoulie Jassey’s 9th minute strike was all but enough to earn the Coastal Town boys the significant three points.
Kanifing East reacted quickly for an equaliser but to no avail thus the match ended 1-0 in favour of Gunjur United.
The win move Gunjur United to 10th place on the country’s Second Tier table with 41 points.
Kanifing East remains 8th place on the Second Division League table with 43 points.
