Gunjur Utd pommel Young Africans in 2nd Tier

Gunjur United last Thursday beat Young Africans 3-0 in their week twenty-six fixture of the on-going 2020-2021 Gambia Football Federation (GFF) Division Two League played at the Late Ousman Saho Football Field in Yundum.

The Coastal Town boys are contending Jam City and Team Rihno for promotion to the first division league next season prior to their match with the Banjul boys, who are fraying to stay in the second tier for another season.

Gunjur United needed a victory against Young Africans to fancy their chances of gaining promotion to the country’s elite league next season.

Gunjur United netted three goals without Young Africans responding to increase their first division league promotion hopes.

The Coastal Town boys now clutched 42 points after twenty-six league outings, while Young Africans are still with 27 points in twenty-six league matches.

Gunjur United need to win their remaining four league matches to gain promotion to the first division league next season.

Young Africans also need to win their remaining league outings to stay in the second division league for another season.
