Gunjur, Gambian professional players' charity match end in stalemate

Gunjur selection on Saturday drew 3-3 with Gambian professional players' selection in a charity match played at the Gunjur Nyamina Mini Stadium.

The keenly-contest clash attracted thousands of football lovers from Gunjur and other parts of The Gambia.

Gunjur and Gambian players' both made a strong start to the match and played brilliant football, crafting a few goal scoring opportunities but failed to capitalise on them thus the first half ended goalless.

Upon resumption of the match, Gambian professional players's selection regrouped themselves and piled pressure on Gunjur selection, creating goal scoring opportunities.

Striker Gaira Joof gave Gambian professional players' selection the lead some minutes after the interval.

Saikouba Ceesay scored the second goal for  Gambian players' selection  some minutes after Gaira Joof's opening goal.

Gunjur selection reacted quickly for an equaliser and levelled matters through Alieu Saine and Moses Jatta mid-way into the second half.

Saikouba Ceesay netted for Gambian professional players' selection some minutes before the end of the match.

Substitute Musa Jammeh levelled the scores for Gunjur selection in the dying minute of the match thus the match ended 3-3.
