GFF1st Division League: 1st round winds up

The first round matches of the 2023-2024 Baluwo sponsored Gambia Football Federation (GFF) Division League campaign wrapped up on Sunday 25th February 2024 with stimulating and exhilarating fixtures across venues in the Greater Banjul Area and West Coast Region respectively.

Real de Banjul finished top in the first round of the country’s Elite League season with 32 points after winning 10 matches, drawing two and losing three.

The City Boys will use the first round break to reinforce themselves ahead of the commencement of the second round matches.

Fortune FC sit second-place in the first round of the First Division League campaign with 29 points after winning eight matches, drawing five and losing two.

The Petroleum Boys will train hard during the first round break to prepare themselves strong for the second round matches of the league season.

Team Rihno occupy third-place in the first round of the country’s Elite League campaign with 28 points after winning eight matches, drawing four and losing three.  

Greater Tomorrow Football Academy sit fourth-place in the first round of the First Division League campaign with 27 points after snatching eight victories, three draws and four defeats.

Steve Biko occupy fifth-place in the first round of the country’s Elite League season with 24 points after securing seven matches, drawing three and losing five.

The Bakau giant killers will use the first round break to improve on their weaknesses before the commencement of the second round matches.

Brikama United, Waa Banjul and Wallidan are all struggling in the first round of the First Division League campaign following their woeful performances in their respective league matches.

The trio will use the first round break to strengthen their squads ahead of the second round matches.

 Brikama United, Waa Banjul and Wallidan will all brawl to win their second round matches to avoid relegation to the Second Division League.
