Moroccan coach, Ben Hicham, is eyeing to coach The Gambia senior national team.

A highly qualified UEFA A License holder, Hicham is eager to coach the Scorpions following the sudden resignation of Coach Tom Saintfiet after The Gambia’s early exit from The 2023 Total Energies Africa Cup of Nations. 

With a rich background in talent development and coaching, Ben has a decade of coaching experience.

Currently serving as a Talent Coach at FIFA, Ben specializes in identifying and nurturing young soccer talents worldwide.

His expertise extends to sports coaching and psychology, making him adept at honing the skills of budding players.

Ben's impressive resume includes stints at reputable clubs such as AFC Wimbledon and Portsmouth Football Club Ltd, where he held pivotal roles in youth development.

He served as the lead youth development phase coach for ages between 12 to 16 at Portsmouth Football Club Ltd, showcasing his ability to maul young athletes into formidable players.

His tenure as a FIFA Technical Expert, Ben Hicham underscores his proficiency in understanding the intricacies of the game and shaping the next generation of football stars.

With his vast experience and dedication to player development, Hicham is poised to make a significant impact on Gambian football if given the opportunity to coach The Gambia senior national team.

As the Gambian Football Federation (GFF) is yet to open the applications for the coaching position, Ben Hicham is preparing to submit his application.
