
Sanneh, who recently returned from the CAF Pan African school football championship in Accra, presented his award and certificate of merit to President Bajo.
Beach Soccer referees Yusupha Sanyang and Ebrima Secka also presented their award certificates of Beach Soccer training held in Nouakchott, Mauritania.
The training was organised by WAFU Zone A.
President Lamin Kabba Bajo congratulated the referees for their achievements, describing the awards as great achievements at both personal level and for the greater good of football.
Bajo stated that the GFF is proud to have raised the first cohort of Beach Soccer trained referees under WAFU Zone A through the GFF Beach Soccer League under the Competitions Department.
He also congratulated young referee Muhammed Sanneh, who officiated a record seven matches in the recently concluded Pan African Schools Football Championships.
Bajo described Sanneh as a rising star, having been appointed by CAF for the third straight championship and encouraged him to keep up the momentum higher.
He renewed his personal support to the cause of the referees growth and their development.
Ebrima Secka, on behalf of the referees, thanked President Bajo for his personal support, enabling them the opportunity to have been trained formally in beach soccer to represent the Gambia a high level.
The referees were accompanied to the Presidency by the GFF Referees Manager Mr Seedy Manneh, who also congratulated them for their achievements.
