GFF presidential election: Sadibou Kamaso launches manifesto

Presidential Aspirant of Team Restore Confidence, Sadibou Kamaso, on Saturday16th May 2026 launched his manifesto for The Gambia Football Federation (GFF) presidential election at the President's International Award Conference Hall in Bakau.

Kamaso’s manifesto for the GFF presidential election is the Starting XI.

The manifesto outlined Team Restore Confidence’s vision to professionalise Gambian football through improved league structures, increased prize money for the league,  better welfare for clubs, players and officials.

Speaking at the launching ceremony, Kamaso emphasised the need for proper administrative, financial and legal systems within clubs.

Kamaso stated that the manifesto would establish a League Management Company that would allow clubs to own shares and take greater control of league operations.

He revealed at the male First Division League champions would receive D2 million, adding that runners-up and third-place teams would receive D1.5 million and D1 million respectively.

Kamaso further revealed that participating clubs would receive D250, 000 each as preparatory funds.

He added that the Male FF Cup champions would receive D1.5 million, adding that runners-up and third- place holder would receive D500, 000 and  D250, 000 respectively.

Kamaso further added that the winner for the Male Second Division League would receive D1 million, adding that runners-up and third-place holder would receive  D700, 000 and D400, 000 respectively.

He stated that all participating teams in the Second Division League would receive D200, 000 each as preparatory funds.

Kamaso further stated for winner the Women’s First Division League would receive D1 million, adding that runners-up and third-place would receive D700, 000 and D400, 000 respectively.

 He pointed that all participating teams in the Women’s League Division One would receive D200, 000 each as preparatory funds.

Kamaso further pointed out that the winner for the Women’s Second Division League would receive D700, 000, adding that runners-up and third-place holder would receive D500, 000 and D250, 000 respectively.

 He revealed that all participating clubs would receive D150, 000 each as preparatory fees.

Kamaso further revealed that Team Restore Confidence would engage government to create policies that would establish enable environment for the professionalisation of the country's league.

Meanwhile, the GFF presidential election is set for August 2026.
