GFF Matarr Jobe leads interested contractors to pre-bid site visit of 3 Regional Fields

The Gambia Football Federation’s (GFF) Project Liaison Officer, Matarr Jobe accompanied by Malang .L. Beyai of the Projects and Contracts Committee led interested contractors to a pre-bid site visit of the three Regional Football Fields.

The GFF Project Liaison Jobe and interested contractors visited Biri-Biri Football Pitch and Soma Mini Stadium Pavilion/dressing rooms projects.

The GFF is about to embark on the FIFA Forward 3.0.

Jobe and his team departed Football House and their first stop was at the Biri-Biri Football Field at the National Technical Training Centre (NTTC) in Old Yumdum.

At the Biri Biri Football Field Pitch, the GFF will construct dressing rooms, public toilets, Boreholes and perimeter fence.

FIFA will install an artificial turf at the Biri Biri Football Field.

The visiting team had their second stop at the Bullock Football Field where they were welcomed by the President of the West Coast Regional Football Association (WCRFA) Bakary Bojang.

In Bullock, there will be a natural grass field as well as dressing rooms, two boreholes, public toilets and a perimeter fence.

The team then proceeded to the Kwinella Football Field where they were received by the President of the Lower River Regional Football Association (LRRFA) Ansumana Sanneh.

In Kwinella, the GFF will construct another natural grass pitch, perimeter fence, two boreholes, public toilets and dressing rooms.

The team also visited Soma Mini Stadium where pavilion/dressing rooms will be constructed.

The final site to be visited was the Kuntair Football Field project in the North Bank Region.

The President of North Bank Regional Football Association, Abou Khan welcomed the team.

At Kuntair, the GFF, through the selected contractor, will do the civil works in the form of dressing rooms, perimeter fence, two boreholes and public toilets

FIFA will install an artificial pitch.

The GFF started to roll out the FIFA Forward 3.0 program after closing the previous cycle.

The closure came after FIFA approved all the works we undertook and certified them before giving us the approval to precede with the latest projects.

The GFF have already advertised for the tender of the aforesaid sites and the closing date for the submission of the bids is Monday 3rd March 2025.

The tenders are done under the Open Competitive Method using a standardised tender document and it is opened to all contractors registered in the appropriate category with the Gambia Public Procurement Authority (GPPA).
