Pa Omar Jobe, the league’s top-scorer with seven goals, scored twice while his compatriots Suleiman Sillah and Solomon King Kanform scored one apiece as the three-time champions continued their impressive run with five wins out of five, helping the team to second position on the table with 15 points.
Twenty-three-year-old Suleiman Sillah opened that scoring for Sheikh Jamal with a wonderful shot in the 38 minutes of the game, while compatriot Pa Omar Jobe scored his brace in the 59 minutes and stoppage time.
Captain Solomon Kanform also registered his name on the score sheet after converting a spot kick for Sheikh Jamal in the 74 minutes.
The trio during their week-fourth fixtures last month guided Sheikh Jamal to a 6-0 thrashing of Arambagh.
Former Real de Banjul striker, Pa Omar Jobe became the hero of that game after scoring four goals, while former Gambia Armed Forces (GAF) player Suleiman Sillah scored two goals. Team leader Solomon Kanform, also a former Gambia Armed Forces player assisted two of Pa Omar Jobe goals.
The Dhanmondi giants are only three points behind defending champions Bashundhara Kings, the only other team with a perfect record with six wins out of six.
Sheikh Jamal is now second position with 15 points after five matches (with a game-in-hand), while Sheikh Russel has dropped to fourth position with 13 points from six games following their first defeat of the campaign.
