GSSSA trains PE teachers

The Gambia Senior Secondary School Sports Association (GSSSA) in collaboration with The Gambia Schools Football Association (GSFA) recently trained Physical Education (PE) teachers in the country.

Demba K. Darboe, a representative from The Gambia Football Federation (GFF) described the training as timely.

The Chairman of The Gambia Secondary School Sports Association (GSSSA), Musa Njie, stated that physical education is very significant, adding that without physical educators it would be very difficult for the country’s athletes to excel.

 President of The Gambia Secondary School Sports Association (GSSSA ), Ismaila Ceesay said they are always ready  to partner with other stakeholders to develop sports in the country.

He stated that the training would help built the capacity of PE teachers in schools.

He expressed delight with the number of female participants that took part in the training.

Alasan Sey, president of The Gambia Physical Education Teachers (GPETA) noted that the training would go a long way in helping physical education teachers in the country.

He urged participant to make best use of the knowledge gained during the training.

Sey applauded GSSSA for supporting schools sports in the country.
