
Kifa, a renowned journalist, anti-illicit drug advocate, and sports entrepreneur, has undertaken various professional trainings over the years.
In 2022, he completed a Diploma-Certificate Program in Football Business Management and HR at Valley View University in partnership with Linked Sports Business College in Ghana.
In 2023, he continued his sports education through different programs, including Sports Governance and Leadership at the National Sports College in Ghana.
Having also completed trainings in fitness coaching and nutrition, he is now expected to earn global certification as a Certified Personal Trainer (CPT) and Certified Nutrition Coach (CNC) with the National Academy of Sports Medicine (NASM), USA, in partnership with the Institute of Fitness Ghana (IFG). Kifa’s track record in youth empowerment has earned him national recognition in the fight against illicit drugs and crime, including a series of campaigns addressing the ‘backway’ migration syndrome.
He is best described as an agent of change for the youth in 2023, during the commemoration of World Drug Day.
He was honored as the official Brand Ambassador of the Drug Law Enforcement Agency (DLEAG) in The Gambia.
Building on his achievements in youth development, Kifa has established several youth organizations across regions to combat drug abuse and crime.
He also uses his influence to promote health awareness through sports and has initiated scholarship schemes for vulnerable youth, including those recovering from drug addiction and school dropouts.
Speaking to this medium about his latest achievement, Kifa thanked the Management of the Drug Law Enforcement Agency (DLEAG) and other partners for their support throughout his career path to become a change-maker in society.
"This is a milestone achievement that has given me valuable insights and experience in the sports education sector,” he said.
“I believe this is the beginning of a great opportunity to support the youth in various fields, especially in sports education, health, and wellness.”
He stressed that drug abuse has destroyed the careers of many professional athletes and young talents in communities.
“The knowledge and experience I have gained will be a huge asset to contribute to national development,” Kifa said.
Kifa called on stakeholders in sports industry to raise awareness about the dangers of drug abuse, which continues to affect many young athletes.
