The Soldiers slipped to RS Tallinding 2-0 in their Elite League promotion semi-final played at the Live Your Dreams Sports Academy Complex in Basori on Tuesday.
The Gambia Armed Forces finished third-place from bottom on the First Division League table with 31 points prior to their semi-final match against RS Tallinding.
RS Tallinding finished fifth-place on the country’s Second Tier table with 55 points after 34 league matches.
The Soldiers came for victory against RS Tallinding to cruise to the First Division League promotion play-off but slipped to the Tallinding based-team.
The Gambia Armed Forces now joined Banjul United and Marimoo Parkfood in the Second Division League.
RS Tallinding will strive to beat Samger to gain promotion to the First Division League.
