Falcons FC suffer 4th loss in Gambian Premier League

League leaders, Falcons FC have suffered their fourth defeat of the season during their week 27 fixture of the Gambia Football Federation (GFF) First Division League played on Wednesday.

Falcons were defeated 1-0 by Marimoo Pakfood.

Ebrima Fofana scored the game’s only goal for Marimoo Pakfood in the 45+1 minute.

The Abuko-based team, Falcons maintain 1st position with 49 points, while Marimoo Pakfood moved to 3rd position with 41 points after 27 matches.

Greater Tomorrow played a 2-2 draw against PSV Wellingara in a battle for survival game played at the Box Bar Mini Stadium in Brikama.

PSV took the lead through Modou Lamin Bojang and Modou Jallow in the 4th and 7th minutes but Greater Tomorrow leveled the game through Abdoulie Baldeh and Amadou Sowe’s strikes in the 18th and 58th minutes.

The result puts Greater Tomorrow at 14th position with 29 points, while PSV Wellingara maintain 16th position with 20 points after 27 matches.

The Gambia Armed Forces (GAF) played a barren goalless draw against Samger at the Bakau Mini Stadium.

The draw sits Samger FC at 7th position with 37 points, one point above GAF, who occupy 9th position with 36 points after 27 games.
