Dennis Schröder names Euro Basket Most Valuable Player

Dennis Schröder of Germany was named the Most Valuable Player (MVP) of Euro Basket 2025.

He led Germany to their first Euro Basket title since 1993 when defeated Turkey in the gold medal game, scoring the final points for his team in a close 88-83 victory.

Schröder was also named to the Euro Basket 2025 All-Star Five and became the sixth player ever to win both the World Cup and Euro Basket MVP awards.

Dennis Schröder is the son of a German father and a Gambian mother and has a brother and a younger sister.

He and his brother were both heavily involved with skateboarding until he found basketball at age 11.

He started focusing on the latter career after his father died in 2009, he choose to wear the jersey number 17 in his honour, as it was his favorite number.
