The second day of Kaur Zone national inter-schools athletics heats produced exciting and more drama than day one.

As expected, the results of day one were announced shortly after the start and it was the host schools that erupted into pandemonium.

Kaur Senior Secondary School and Kaur Upper Basic School were leading the standings in both categories.

It seemed Kaur Senior Secondary School have done their home work.

However, they are closely followed by Jarumehkoto Senior Secondary School and Jarumehkoto Upper Basic School in terms of points.

Although they again fell short in the 200 Meters boys open to Jarumehkoto Senior Secondary School.

Hawa S. Bah who has been sensational day one for Kaur Senior Secondary School just kept on going and produced results as she won the 200 meters girls open.

Her thrust for glory motivated her to go for the 3000 meters girls open.

  She conquered it as well.

In the mixed relay, Chamen Senor Secondary School and Isatou Jallow had been magnificent.

In the medley relay, with the final 400 meters, Isatou Jallow ran with zest and endurance to close a gap as wide as 200 meters and toppled Kaur Senior Secondary School in that event.

In the 5000 meters boys open Senior Secondary Schools, Omar Jallow of Jarumehkoto Senior Secondary School started slowly but ended the race as champion's charisma.

The energy level inserted by him and his celebrations afterwards were a force to be reckoned with.

Niani Upper Basic School, who have been barely mentioned all day long, scooped the Upper Basic Schools U-15 boys’ long jump and high jump via Ebrima Nyang on both occasions.

The National Assembly Member for Lower Saloum attended day one of the heats.

The chairman of the Conference of principals Mr. Nyaball and his entourage together with the council of elders in Kaur graced the annual inter-schools athletics heats.
