BST Galaxy FC opened the scores through striker Modou Keita in the 30th minute, before Modou Lamin Ceesay extended their lead in the 69th minute.
The BST Galaxy boys drew with Wallidan and Waa Banjul in their two opening league fixtures before locking horns with Brikama United, who won one match and drew one.
“I ‘am very happy that we earlier played two matches and recorded two draws before collecting the maximum points against Brikama United, a big and a difficult match to play,” Coach Amat Cham said shortly after the match.
Coach Cham added that they played better in the second half despite scoring their first goal through a set-piece in the first half.
“We played the way we wanted to be playing in the second half, created chances and scored another goal.”
‘‘We had opportunities to score the third and fourth goals but that didn’t happen,’’ coach Cham pointed out.
Coach Cham praised his defence line for being so resolute not to concede a goal, adding that his defensive midfielder Gibriel Sosseh was absolutely brilliant during the match which earned him the Man of the Match award.
The win earns BST Galaxy FC 5th place on the First Division League table with 5 points, leveling with TMT.
Brikama United sit 10th place on the country’s Elite League table with 4 points after three matches.
