Cashup partners Brikama Sports Committee to promote sport

In fulfilment of its corporate social responsibility, Cashup, a Gambian owned financial technology mobile wallet  recently signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the Brikama Sports Committee to help promote sports development in the community.

The signing ceremony held at the Brikama Mini Stadium widely referred to as Box ba, forms part of financial institution’s quest in to be in line with its corporate social responsibility and to provide various forms of  development support.

Cashup has pledged a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) and D240,000.00 in funding for the renovation of   stadium’s pavilions.

In June 2022, Cashup received accreditation from the Central  Bank of The Gambia following the satisfaction of its incorporation license to function as a supplier of financial payment and transfer services. For consumers to have the smoothest and most-efficient transactions, the institution now offers three                 e-wallet applications namely; the merchant, agent, and customer wallets.

At the event, Ebrima Jammeh, managing director of Cashup, described the event as ‘historic’ that his team extends support to the Brikama Sports Committee, by supporting teams who registered, ownership with the committee and the facilities   inside the sports complex.
