The presentation to beneficiary teams was held at the Bundung Central Mosque, where the councilors held a community dialogue with constituents to discuss important issues that concern their community.
Teams who benefited from the financial assistance are Jola Kunda United, Goh Bi, Bijankerr United, Casa United, Future Bi FC, Ball Conge, Eagle Star FC, Leeds United, Milan Rossoneri, Cannon FC, Rangers FC and New Germany.
The ceremony was graced by the president of SESDO ModouYusupha Cham, who handed over the much-needed funds to the teams.
Cham thanked Hon Jammeh for the gesture and called on the National Assembly and Ministry of Youth and Sports to support and promote grassroots football.
For his part, Jammeh extended his appreciation to the SESDO and encouraged them to keep up the momentum.
The MP had also previously supported Eagle Star FC in their journey to the KMRFA 3rd Division and even covered the expenses for their assistant manager to pursue the GFF D-License coaching course.
