One of the resolutions put forward for voting at the EGM called for by the members is that of no confidence in the Chairman Mr. Brian J Power and for his immediate removal as chairman of Fajara Club.
As per the rules of the club, the request for the EGM has to be posted on the club`s notice board for a minimum of 7 days, after which the meeting would be convened as soon as possible.
In a letter dated 17th August 2023 and addressed to Fajara Club`s Trustee’s and Main Committee, Mr Power stated that he had resigned with immediate effect from the position of Chairman of Fajara Club.
Mr. Power was recently elected unopposed as chairman of the club on 2 March 2023. His resignation as chairman makes his tenure the shortest in the Fajara Club’s 94-year-old history.
