Pikine-based wrestler Boy Niang 2 has now unarguably entered the VIP’s section of the Senegalese wrestling arena after defeating Balla Gaye 2 during a grand fight organised by Gaston Production.

The fight together with other bouts staged on Sunday 1st January 2023 was held at the Senegalese (Wrestling) Arena National.

The son of Pikine, Boy Niang 2, tackled Balla Gaye 2 to the ground in less than 5 minutes of combat in an undisputed victory.

After 3 minutes of an observation round, the wrestler from Guédiawaye attacked Boy Niang but an uncontrolled approach allowed Boy Niang to counter and put Balla Gaye 2 on the ground.

Balla Gaye 2 remained on the ground for a long time after his fall, having fallen badly on his left foot.

The resounding success, greeted with joy and enthusiasm by Boy Niang's fans, has cemented his position as one of the best young wrestlers in the Senegalese arena.

The Thiapathioli revives perfectly and finally reaches the courtyard of the “VIPs”.

The victory is a huge achievement for the Pikine-based wrestler, who finally succeeded in his first fight against a heavyweight. His return strategy allowed him to wrestle down the former king of the Arena.

"For the fight itself, I knew that Balla Gaye 2 would walk on me because he is a lion who knows how to roar. When he charged me, I blocked him with a blow. Afterwards, he continued the action. I thus thwarted everything to bring him down clearly, "said Boy Niang 2 after the fight.

"I said that he is a ndanane (technically gifted), but that it will be another ndanane like him who is going to beat him. I kept my promise," added the son of De Gaulle.

"I encourage Balla Gaye 2. I congratulate him. He is a great champion. He gave me the pole. I thank him. He has made an exceptional journey. I dream of doing the same course as him."

The bout was the 28 for the lion of Guédiawaye. He recorded 22 victories and suffered 6 defeats from 2005 to date.

Balla Gaye sees his career tipping towards its twilight. Boy Niang's career is gaining new momentum after two failed attempts against heavyweights.
