The final saw excellent exhibition of tactics and skills, creating some goal scoring opportunities but failed to capitalise on them thus the match ended goalless.
The league title was decided by post-match penalty shootouts, which ended 5-4 in favor of Bakoteh United Football Academy.
As champions, Bakoteh United Football Academy received a giant trophy, gold medals and cheque amounting to D75,000 while Bundas FC received silver medals and D50,000 as runners-up
Speaking to The Point Sports, head coach of Bakoteh United Football Academy, Abdou Aziz Jeng, stated that the match was very tough, adding that his side were not expecting penalty shootouts to decide the winner of the Manjai League Trophy.
“We created goal scoring chances during the match but we failed to capitalise them,” Gaffer Jeng explained.
Coach Jeng thanked fans for rendering support to Bakoteh United Football Academy during the course of the Manjai nawetan season.
