
The Scorpions defeated Equatorial Guinea 2-1 in their first international friendly match played on Friday before locking horns with Uganda.
The Gambia came all out to beat Uganda to second victory in their international training camp ahead of their 2026 World Cup qualifier match against Burundi in September 2025.
Uganda took the lead in the 23rd minute of the match.
The Gambia reacted quickly for an equaliser and levelled matters through midfielder Alasanna Manneh before half time from the penalty spot thus the first half ended 1-1.
Upon resumption of the match, The Gambia and Uganda piled heavy pressure on each other and created goal scoring opportunities but failed to capitalise on them thus the match ended 1-1.
