Abuko Utd surpass Red Scorpions in Women’s League One

Abuko United on Saturday defeated Kinteh’s 2-0 in their week-three fixture played at the QCity Sports Complex in Bijilo to surpass Red Scorpion in the 2020-2021 Gambia Football Federation (GFF) Women’s League One.

Kaddy Malack and Mam Drammeh were on the score sheet for the Abuko based-outfit during the match.

The victory earned the Abuko based-outfit first position in the women’s league one with maximum 9 points after three league outings, three points ahead of second-place Red  Scorpion, who snatched 6 points in two league matches with a game in hand.

Abuko United will fight to win their next league match to rejuvenate their lead in the league campaign.

The Abuko based-outfit won their three opening league clashes and will be contend to maintain their composure in the league to keep their dreams of winning the league trophy this season.

Abuko United won their first league title in 2008 before losing to Interior 2-1 in the 2016 Gambia Football Federation (GFF)FF cup final.
