Must Gambia congratulate the Barrow Government for its strong and disciplined response to Yahya Jammeh’s pronouncements of returning home soon. This official Press Release reaffirms its commitment to justice and the world awaits with great anticipation Yahya Jammeh’s criminal trial for alleged murder and other serious criminal charges. In my view, Yahya Jammeh is a criminal who has temporarily evaded Justice but shall face trial sooner than later. It is now clear to most fair-minded champions and supporters of Universal Human Rights, that Jammeh deserves a fair trial, and if found guilty must be dealt with accordingly. In my view, there is plausible evidence to try Yahya Jammeh at home, or elsewhere for alleged offenses. Jammeh’s “free” days are numbered as he is a coward testing Gambia’s will to prosecute him. Justice may be slow for the aggrieved, but it shall come eventually
Barrow’s Government statement Viz-a-vis, Yahya Janneh, is very reassuring to victims of Yahya Jammeh’s rule. It reassures those that fought against Yahya Jammeh and exposed his corruption and murderous rule, that Justice is slow but will most certainly arrive.
