In evergreen loving memory of Mrs. Fatou Samba Joof of Gambia Talents Promotion

We received the news of the  passing away of Mrs. Fatou Samba Joof with great shock and utter dismay.

Her untimely demise has thus left the media community in mourning, with colleagues and friends paying tribute to a life marked by service, excellence, and compassion.

It is indeed a painful loss, especially at a time when her outstanding professionalism, wealth of experience and personal virtues are most needed.

As a journalist and staffer of the Gambia Talents Promotion, she was a committed and energetic professional whose contributions to the media industry will therefore be deeply missed.

Despite her untimely demise at such a prime age, her vibrant personality and unwavering dedication to journalism have left an indelible mark. 

Her absence therefore creates a void that will be difficult to fill, notably within the Gambia Talents Promotion group.

Indeed, a dedicated and loving sister and friend, Fatou Samba would be sorely missed by all who had come across her and had been impacted by her larger than life presence.

Yes and undeniably, she was widely known as a woman driven by passion, compassion, and a strong sense of duty.

In so being, her dedication, warmth, and love for the journalism profession would forever be remembered.

Yes, she had played a vital role in shaping public discourse and promoting the ideals of a free and responsible press.

Yes, her dedication to duty and resilience in the face of challenges would also be remembered as an inspiration to colleagues and aspiring journalists.

As such, her passing is now being felt as a great loss not only to her immediate family but also to the journalism profession in our beloved Gambia, where she had served with diligence, passion, and an unwavering commitment to truth and ethical reporting.

In all truth, throughout her career, she had distinguished herself as a dedicated professional journalist, contributing immensely to the dissemination of accurate and objective information.

Our deepest and heartfelt condolences are hereby extended to her dear husband, Pa Ousman Joof, CEO of GTTV, to immediate family members and to other relatives and friends, both at home and abroad.

Rest in Perfect Peace, Fatou, until we meet again and indeed to part no more!!!

May the Almighty God overlook your shortcomings, if any and grant you a high place in His blissful heavenly Al Jannah, where you most rightfully and most deservedly belong.
