The accused was slammed with 3-counts of offence obstructing police officers, assaulting a police officer and malicious injury to property.
The prosecution led by Inspector Fadera alleged that the accuse on or about the 30th day of January 2025 at Gunjur Police Station willfully obstructed Inspt. Modou Lamin Jabang, Cpl 5502 Bintou Colley and Cpl. 7433 Manyima Jatta while executing their duties.
On the other count, the accused was also alleged to have assaulted a police officer by biting her on the thumb finger while executing her duty causing her bodily harm.
The prosecution further alleged that the accused unlawfully damage a spectacle valued at D250 and a shirt valued at D400, all valued to D650 being the properties of Cpl. 5502 Binta Colley of Gunjur Police Station.
The accused person who was un-represented denied all the three-count charges levelled against her.
At that juncture, Prosecutor Fadera applied for an adjournment to call in their first witness. Also, the prosecution also did not object to the bail of the accused.
The Presiding Magistrate granted the prosecutor’s application and granted the accused to a sum of D10, 000 with one Gambian surety who shall deposit his or her I.D card with the registrar of the court.
