The group, which comprises prominent Islamic promoters are in the country to foster Islamic values and engage in philanthropic works.
The delegation also seeks to use the Banjul visit to re-enforce the already existing ties between the two countries.
Receiving the delegation, Consul Kurubally while welcoming the delegation to office, revealed that during their discussions, they engaged in a comprehensive dialogue on potential partnerships that could be of immense benefit to both countries.
“We explored various avenues for collaboration, particularly in encouraging Islamic and business tolerance from Pakistan and The Gambia also to be able to invest and establish business operations within each other's territories.”
Consul Krubally underscored the importance of strengthening religious tolerance and business capabilities, which he said, are key in bolstering trade relation between the two countries.
“I want to express my sincere appreciation for their commitment to enhancing Islamic teachings and their proactive approach in collaborating with local institutions. It is vital to promote peace and development within our community through such partnerships.”
To that end, Consul Kurubally looks forward to continued collaboration with the Pakistani religious community, further expressing optimism that the move would make great positive impact in The Gambia.”
Meanwhile, the visiting delegation expressed gratitude for the warm welcome and also look forward to possible collaboration that can benefit both countries.
Prior to their meeting, the delegation engaged in fruitful discussions with the members of The Gambia Supreme Islamic Council, Rawdatul Majalis and other Islamic leaders.
The move was aimed at strengthening religious and cultural ties between Pakistan and The Gambia, while also promoting mutual understanding and cooperation.
