Vegvo Technology donates D25, 000 to Inspiring Star of Gambia

Vegvo Technology (VT), a Gambian owned company and one of the leading start-ups in New York leverage technology recently donated twenty-five thousands dalasis (D25, 000) to Inspiring Young Star of The Gambia at a ceremony held at Sen FM office, KMC.

Vegvo Technology is specialised in television mounting, satellite and solar installations, cell phone repair and so on. The company has its headquarters in New York City, USA but has branches across the globe including The Gambia.

The gesture came following the youth organisation’s request for financial support from the international company to launch a poetry slam project. The youth organization budgeted fifty thousand dalasis (D50,000) for the project but VT International provided half of the budget.

Presenting the cash on behalf of the national coordinator for Vegvo Technology, Aboulie Bah, public relations officer, expressed delight to be associated with the event, saying that was exactly what African youth have to be actively engaged.

Bah said his company is greatly delighted to provide Inspiring Young Star of The Gambia with the financial support to implement the project.

He described Inspiring Young Star executive as serious, and a development oriented youth organization.

He added that neither the manager nor the company would subject the young organisation to any form of scrutiny because it trusts the organisation.

"Vegvo Technologies branch in Gambia is ready to give full support in various forms and dimensions, and not just about finance. Our goals and priorities are to provide aid for any form of the organisation. Even individuals that are ready to rise and lift the glory of Africa," he said.

Alagie Ndow, Chief Executive Officer (CEO) and founder of Inspiring Young Star expressed gratitude to Vegvo Technology for the gesture. 

He assured that his organisation would utilise the money for the intended purpose.
