CEPRAS is a research centre dedicated to the creation and application of new knowledge to address some of the county’s main socio-economic challenges.
Besides, the visit which witnessed fruitful deliberations on several key areas of mutual concern, was basically for students to familiarise themselves with the work of that institution as well as to gain deeper knowledge of research, an area that forms the backbone in higher education and academia.
The visit also accorded the union members the opportunity to discuss possibilities for joint research projects and other activities geared towards broadening their knowledge production and dissemination in general.
During the visit, both parties expressed shared commitment to stimulating academic partnerships that would enhance the research capacity of students at the UTG.
Additionally, the two bodies also discussed about capacity-building initiatives aimed at equipping students with the necessary skills and resources to engage effectively in proposal writing and data analysis.
In this vein, both parties agreed to come up initiatives and to sign a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to strengthen areas of mutual concern and formalise the partnership.
