As part of efforts geared towards broadening partnership and greater collaboration, student leaders from the University of The Gambia on Tuesday paid a courtesy on the top brass of The Gambia Armed Forces (GAF), The Gambia Football Federation (GFF) and QTV.

The move comes as students at the country’s highest learning institution prepare ahead of the annual Students' Week (SW) slated for 27th July to 5th August, 2025 at Tendaba Camp in Lower River Region.

At the Gambia Armed Forces (GAF) headquarters, the students were warmly received by Chief of Defense Staff, Lt. General Mamat O. Cham, who expressed delight in receiving them.

He pledged his institution’s resolve to support them with logistics in the form of transportation and food items amongst others for the week-long event.

At Q TV

Welcoming students at Q TV, Ade Daramy and Babucarr Ceesay, new editors at QTV, discussed with students the aspect of media coverage especially during this week-long activities and other internship opportunities.

The duo also assured their support to provide coverage, while expressing openness to internship opportunities for students.

GFF

Receiving students at the Gambia Football Federation (GFF), Lamin M. Jassey, General Secretary, while applauding them for the move, also pledged his institution’s full support in making the event a success.

Jassey equally presented referee cards and a First Aid Box to the UTGSU Sports Ministry, reaffirming the federation's commitment to promoting football at the university.
