They have been supporting The Gambia for the past fifteen years.

She added that they are supporting two schools and over 300 children as well as employed 18 Gambians.

According to her, she has been sponsoring Kunta Kinteh Nursery School since 2007 but said the last few years have been challenging which was why they embarked on the journey to raise funds to help The Gambia.

“We assist Gambian orphans, education, health, and fire victims,” she also said.

She thanked all those who supported them for the journey.

“We are hoping to get as much support as we can from friends, family and local businesses to provide more assistance to Gambian people,” she said.

Amadou Baldeh, assistant head of Kunta Kinteh Nursery and Primary School thanked Jackie and Emma for embarking on such a difficult journey to raise funds to help the country.

Baldeh also thanked all their Scottish sponsors.

He said during the peak of the Covid-19 pandemic, Jackie and her team supported every child in his school with a bag of rice.

Kumba Sanneh, head mistress of Kunta Kinteh Nursery and Primary School expressed appreciation to Jackie and Emma for their contribution to the development of the country.

“Jackie raised funds through bicycle race in Scotland and bought a land for the school. She has also been sponsoring children for the past fifteen years. All her efforts are geared towards contributing to quality education for Gambian children,” she explained.
